Kunipher Xie

Staff Accountant

​Kunipher Xie graduated with a Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) from DePaul University. With a unique journey that bridges the arts, education, and technology, Kunipher brings a creative yet analytical mindset to the world of finance. As a Staff Accountant at Tandem, he is gaining hands-on experience in accounting operations while preparing to sit for the CPA exam.

Kunipher has lived in several states, including Oregon and Colorado, where he is currently based. He holds two undergraduate degrees—one in Graphic Design from Colorado State University and another in Computer Science—as well as a graduate degree in Art History and Criticism from the University of Oregon. Though originally drawn to tech and the arts, Kunipher ultimately found his passion in accounting, attracted to the structure, clarity, and strategic thinking the field demands.

Throughout his career, Kunipher has taken on roles that prioritize communication, organization, and critical thinking. His background includes managing client relationships at AT&T, teaching as a senior Mandarin language instructor, serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Oregon, and leading as an Academic Symposium Chair. These experiences have sharpened his ability to navigate complex environments and collaborate effectively—skills that now support his work in accounting.

Outside of his professional life, Kunipher enjoys cultivating bonsai trees, a challenging art he has pursued with patience and experimentation. He also stays active and values balance through hobbies that require focus and care. With his sights set on becoming a licensed CPA, Kunipher is eager to continue growing in the accounting field and contributing meaningfully to the profession.
